DESIGN & ENGINEERING
The homeowner works closely with our Pool Designer to create a gorgeous, personalized 3D design for your project. These designs are then used for engineered/structural drawings if required.

PERMITS & INSPECTIONS
The permit process currently takes 3-4 months, longer if a utility reroute is needed, or engineered drawings are required. This timing varies based on your neighborhood, city, and county requirements.

LAYOUT & EXCAVATION
After calling 811 to mark any buried utility lines, layout will be confirmed and form boards set. Excavation can be done with a variety of machines depending upon your access. This phase usually takes a few days depending on soil and weather conditions.

PLUMBING
Rough plumbing is done before the steel installation. This includes the plumbing lines for the main drains, skimmers, return lines, raised spas, water features, and cleaning systems.

STRUCTURAL STEEL
The steel company will install steel reinforcement (rebar) to give strength and support to the pool shell. Once completed, if required, an inspection may be performed by your city inspector.

SHOTCRETE
Shotcrete is a mixture of cement, sand, and water applied through a pressure hose, producing a dense hard layer of concrete on the steel to form the shell of the pool. After, the shell must be watered down to aid in the curing process.

TILE, COPING & STONEWORK
Waterline tile, pool coping, spa spillways, raised walls, water sheers, and stonework are all installed during this phase. This process will take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks depending upon the size and intricacy of the job.

EQUIPMENT, ELECTRIC & GAS
Plumbers return to set the equipment. Licensed electricians will install wiring for the equipment, lights, heaters, and remote control systems. If needed, a licensed utility plumber will install a gas line from your meter to the spa heater.

DECKING
There are many choices for decking. Concrete decks are set with form boards, steel and sand. If you chose a cool deck texture or patterned/stamped overlay, this next step will be applied approximately 2 weeks later.

SITE CLEAN UP
Your project is nearing completion! The clean-up crew will pick up all trash, haul it away, replace fence panel(s), and grade the yard back to original elevation.

PEBBLE INTERIOR FINISH
A PebbleTec pool finish offers several choices in textures, colors, and designs. The day before the interior finish is installed, they will remove debris and pump any water from the bottom of your pool. Once completed, the pool is then filled with water.

STARTUP & POOL SCHOOL
After filling your pool, we will turn on the equipment and discuss with you how to operate and maintain your pool. If you find you have additional questions or need technical support, we are only a phone call away!
